Privacy policy for Ritual Unlock, operated by BNW STUDIOS.

Effective 9 October 2026. Questions or requests: support@neatspacecleaner.store.

Information on your device

The app keeps your language, prayer preferences, reading progress, ritual history and island progress locally, using SQLite on iOS. The current app does not upload these records for advertising or cloud synchronization. Device and operating-system backup settings can affect copies of local data.

If you authorize Screen Time, Apple’s selection interface provides opaque selection tokens. The app and its extensions share these through an App Group to apply and remove protection. The JavaScript app does not receive the selected apps’ names. The current app does not upload these tokens or create a named browsing or app-usage profile.

Location and permissions

With your permission, foreground location is used on your device to calculate prayer times. The app does not store or upload the coordinates, request background location tracking, or send them to RevenueCat. Camera, location and Screen Time permissions can be denied or revoked in iOS Settings.

Camera and ritual photos

The ritual flow requests a new camera photo. In Expo Go, verification is explicitly simulated and the photo stays local. Temporary app-cache files are cleaned up on retake, completion and exit. Force-closing the app may interrupt cleanup; immediate deletion in every circumstance is not guaranteed. Photos are not saved to your photo library by this flow.

At the first use of the native photo flow, you are shown a photo-processing disclosure. Choosing Agree and open camera permits this described use for future proof photos; choosing Verify sends the new photo through our Supabase-hosted secure service to KIE AI. KIE AI assesses visible prayer or reading context and returns a result. There is no upload on camera opening or retake. You can decline, leave the flow or use Emergency access. Paying for a subscription or granting camera access is not consent to AI sharing.

We remember the permission's purpose version, recipient and date locally on your device, not the photo. You do not need to agree again for each photo under the same processing purpose. In Settings → AI photo permission → Withdraw permission, you can stop new uploads without canceling your subscription. Pending client requests are canceled; a photo already received by the processor cannot be recalled. You can agree again at your next photo, and a changed processing purpose requires a new agreement. A storage error pauses new uploads and shows a retry message.

KIE has informed BNW STUDIOS that submitted photos are not retained, used to train models or reused for other purposes. This statement is based on the provider's assurance to us, not an independent audit. Our service does not put proof photos or raw AI responses in a database, ritual history, island artwork or diagnostic logs. Processing may take place outside your country through Supabase and KIE AI. We do not claim that local temporary camera files are erased immediately in every circumstance.

A picture cannot establish whether worship occurred or measure faith or sincerity. AI assessment may be wrong. Avoid photographing faces, identification documents or other private information. Failed, declined or unavailable verification does not count as ritual completion; Emergency access remains available. Changing camera permission does not cancel a subscription.

Secure verification records

Our Supabase service uses Apple App Attest and server-side subscription checks before a paid AI request. It stores an installation-related public key and its hash, a purchase-account UUID, challenge and assertion counters, request digests, quota counters and purchase-binding records, including Apple transaction identifiers. These are security and purchase records, not copies of photos. Network infrastructure also receives request metadata such as an IP address to deliver and protect the service.

Security records are used to prevent forged purchases, replay attacks and excessive requests, and to support purchase restoration. They are separate from your local ritual history. Uninstalling does not erase server or provider records. Contact us for access or deletion requests; we may need to verify ownership, and fraud-prevention or legal obligations may limit deletion. See Supabase's privacy policy and KIE's privacy policy for provider information. The KIE statement about submitted photos above is the specific assurance given to us.

Subscriptions and purchase information

Apple processes App Store payments. We use RevenueCat to check subscription status, restore purchases and understand subscription performance. Its SDK processes an app-user identifier, purchase and subscription records, and device or app technical information needed to provide these services. The native secure flow uses a purchase-account UUID to bind an attested installation to its Apple purchase. An anonymous identifier is still an identifier. We do not receive your payment-card details or Apple password.

Purchase-related processing supports app functionality and purchase analytics. RevenueCat acts as our service provider for this information; its infrastructure includes processing in the United States. Apple and RevenueCat records are separate from data stored locally. They may retain records for service operation, legal obligations, disputes and fraud prevention; deleting the app does not erase those records.

For requests concerning data processed on our behalf, contact us so we can identify the relevant record and instruct the provider where applicable. We may need information to verify your request, but never your Apple password or full payment details. See RevenueCat’s privacy notice and Apple’s privacy policy.

Sharing, support and this website

Island sharing shares public artwork, not proof photos, Screen Time tokens or ritual history. The current app has no advertising-network integration and does not use these records for targeted advertising.

The native app is configured to check Expo EAS Update for compatible application updates. Update requests may include operating-system and technical update information and randomized identifiers used by Expo to deliver updates. This is separate from your locally stored ritual history; the app does not include proof photos or Screen Time selections in update requests. Expo’s provider notice is linked below.

If you email us, your email address and message are used to handle your request. Do not send ritual photos, passwords or payment details. Support correspondence is kept as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable obligations.

These support pages are hosted by Expo EAS Hosting. Normal page requests reveal network information, such as your IP address and browser request metadata, to the hosting infrastructure for delivery and security. We do not add advertising pixels, analytics scripts, forms or nonessential cookies to these pages. Hosting-provider practices are described in Expo’s privacy policy.

Your choices and rights

You can change permissions in iOS Settings and use Emergency access or Reset protection in the app. Reset protection is a safety action, not deletion of history or provider purchase records. Removing the app removes its local container, subject to device backups; it does not cancel an auto-renewing subscription.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. Send requests to support@neatspacecleaner.store. Legal exceptions and identity verification may apply. We do not use ritual photos to make decisions about employment, credit, insurance or other legally significant eligibility.

Children and changes

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us. We will review the request and remove information where required. The final App Store age rating will be displayed on the app’s listing when released.

We may update this policy when the service changes. Material changes to photo processing will be disclosed before that processing is enabled. The date above identifies this version; reading this page is not acceptance of a new contract.
